very doubtful if we could get men from the Surveyors' Institute as their traning

is chiefly for Quantity Surveyors and Land Surveyors and I doubt if many of them have ever handled a Theodolite. I suggest that the matter might be referred to the Colonial Survey Committee and their advice asked as to the best channels for obtaining such men.

Appointments Department down to

Jack, Director General of the
